Two Wheels Greater Manchester had the chance to take its safer riding message to thousands of local families when it took a stand at the Emergency Services Day at the Trafford Centre.
The day saw emergency services staff from police, ambulance and the fire service join forces with BikeSafe - UK’s #1 Police-led motorcycle safety initiative – and transport safety voluntary groups, including Two Wheels Greater Manchester, to have some fun while promoting safe motoring advice and getting some invaluable messages across to the public, whatever the age.
Families also had fun with displays of older military vehicles, Blood Bikes and the RNLI, among others.
The main goal of the day for Two Wheels Greater Manchester was to connect with the next generation of bike riders, as youngsters took a turn sitting on some of the big police bikes on display, and chatted to officers and other bike reps about the fun they could get out of safe bike riding in the future.
For the older visitors, BikeSafe shared advanced police motorcycle riding skills and encouraged all bikers to recognise the value of investing in post-test motorcycle training.
There were also bike maintenance tips from the experts.
