BikeSafe North West Event

Riders in the south and west of Greater Manchester might be interested in a free check ride and debrief from the experienced police motorcyclists of Cheshire, Merseyside and North Wales Police.

The event is being held in collaboration with BikeSafe North West, on Saturday, 2nd March from 10am-3pm at Triumph Chester. You can find it at Unit 1, Deva Business Park, Welsh Road, Deeside CH5 2HR

What’s involved:

Join the police riders for a FREE check-ride. This is a 20 minute check-ride in which the police will observe your riding, followed by a cuppa over which you’ll have a friendly debrief. The police will give you feedback on your riding style and offer some valuable riding tips. It’s a great chance to meet this experienced bunch of riders in an informal capacity, and see them as they really are: just a group of really experienced motorcyclists who love riding and who want to keep everyone safe on the road.

As an added bonus, participants will receive £10 off a full BikeSafe workshop.

What is BikeSafe?

BikeSafe is a nationwide scheme which aims to reduce casualties among bikers by passing on tips and knowledge, to give an insight to safer, smoother riding and a heightened awareness of possible hazards.

The scheme invites motorcyclists to participate in an assessment of their present skills, and offers advice to help make their riding safer and more enjoyable.

Cheshire Constabulary sits within the Northwest BikeSafe region and we are fortunate to host or neighbour some of the very best motorcycling areas in the country. BikeSafe workshops have been running in the county for the past 10 years. They are aimed at giving full licence holders the opportunity to understand why motorbike crashes happen and to see how emergency service riders use tried and tested techniques to stay safer.

The ultimate goal is motorcyclist casualty reduction achieved by evidencing the benefits of formal training and providing a signpost to accredited post-test training providers. Increase your awareness and skills by attending Cheshire BikeSafe.
